JPetition takes every measure to ensure our users’ information is safe. That means we protect your information online and off-line. All employees are continually reminded of our security and privacy policies.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USAGE:

JPetition collects information about our users when users create new petitions on JPetition, and when users sign petitions powered by JPetition.

You will be asked for your name, email address, residential address and may be asked for certain demographic information. Some of this information is optional, however, we encourage users to provide it, as it allows us to improve and customize your experience.

Whatever information you provide us with when you sign a JPetition, is stored on our servers, but remains the exclusive property of the petition host, who has agreed to all the terms of this privacy policy. Each petition host will be asked not to share the information you supply, except for when it is presented to the chosen recipient. At that point, the recipient will receive a list of petition signer’s names.

Exceptions:
If we find someone is violating our Membership Agreement, we may be forced, in certain circumstances, to disclose user information - if we believe it will prevent infringement of JPetition, of JPetition users, or anyone else for that matter.

 

COOKIES:

A cookie is a tiny piece of information stored on the user’s hard drive. From time to time, advertisers use cookies on our site. However, we have no access to or control over these cookies.

 

"TELL A FRIEND"

All petitions come with an option to "Tell a Friend". This allows users to forward a petition to their friends. These email addresses are not stored by JPetition, and will not be used at a later date.

 

SITE AND SERVICE UPDATES:

Occasionally it is necessary to communicate important information about JPetition with our members. This is done using phone or email.

This web site may contain links to external sites. JPetition is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.

 

CONTENT:

Users should be aware that JPetition is not a content generator. Whilst we do all in our power to monitor the contents of individual petitions, we cannot be held responsible for any offensive content or legal infringement.

 

CORRECTION/UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION:

We will do our best to keep information up to date. If a user’s personal data changes, we would like to be informed by emailing our Customer Support – support@JPetition.com
